Active Prosperity
Prosperity is a natural law that sends us more of what
we are asking for and thinking about . The level of
prosperity that we experience is directly related to our
relationship with abundance. The law of prosperity is
nonjudgmental and unemotional, it simply responds to
our thoughts, energies and words. We are always in a
state of prosperity, receiving the results of our
thoughts and words every day. And we can learn to
use the law of prosperity to create the life of our
dreams once we understand that it merely responds to
what we are, actively or passively, creating.
When we prosper we receive more of something.
Although we connect prosperity with wealth, it has
nothing to do with money. Last week's article discussed
abundance as a state of being. Prosperity is a state of
receiving. We can be actively prosperous, ensuring
that we are receiving what we want, or passively
prosperous, hoping that our situation will change but
feeling powerless to make the changes. As with
everything else in our reality, what we are receiving is
up to us.
Prosperity responds to our beliefs and thoughts about
abundance. If we are actively creating an abundance
of peace, joy, freedom and love in our lives, the law of
prosperity will send us more. But if we are passive in
our abundance activities and focused on everything
that is wrong with our lives, we will get more of that
too. All natural laws are nonjudgmental and
unemotional-they do not ask us 'are you really sure
that you want more of this', they simply respond to our
thoughts, focus and what we are asking for, actively or
passively.
This week, look at how you are prospering in your life,
what you are receiving more of. Is it something that
you do not want? When we want to change the kind of
prosperity that we are receiving we must be willing to
let go of what we no longer need or want. What
thoughts, feelings, beliefs or judgments about yourself
and others can you let go of in order to change the
kind of prosperity that you are receiving? Become
actively prosperous and you will see the changes
manifest in your life and create the prosperity that you
desire.

You Know Better Now
My mother used to listen to an old country and western
song called "If I Knew Then What I Know Now." As a
child, I thought the title was silly. But now that I am an
adult, I understand what the title means and there
have been times when I wish that I could go back to
the past and make different decisions and choices
using the knowledge that I now have. But I know that I
have that knowledge because I went through those
experiences and made those choices. Today, if faced
with similar choices, I would make much different
decisions, because I know better now.
We have all done things that we regret, have said
things that we wish we could take back, made choices
that completely changed the course of our lives. And
we generally make those choices and decisions when
we are young and don't know or understand the
consequences or are feeling powerless or hopeless.
While we can't undo the past, we can use its
knowledge to make our present experience different.
The key is to recognize the situation when it appears
and remember what we learned from the past. But this
only works when we are not responding out of fear or
anger or so emotionally involved that we lose control of
the situation.
Putting our prior experiences to work for us can help us
make different decisions in the present moment. Every
situation that we encountered in the past was there to
get us to the place where we could make different
decisions. How many times do we repeat experiences,
finding ourselves in that 'Oh no, not again' moment
where we know that we have just made a choice that
is not in our best interests? As we move forward on our
spiritual path, we will have many opportunities to
change how we once responded to situations and each
time that we recognize the lesson and remind ourselves
that we 'know better now,' we will heal another karmic
wound and know that the next time we will recognize
the situation sooner and respond with more confidence.
It is also important to forgive ourselves for those times
when we did not know better and made choices that
we perhaps regret. Self-forgiveness is as important as
the forgiveness of others. Every moment that we
spend feeling guilty, sad, angry about or regretting our
past decisions is another moment that we delay the
manifestation of miracles and abundance. Each of us,
no matter how much we have experienced, has learned
lessons along the way and we know better now. We
can use that knowledge to create a better present and
to release the pain of the past so that the future is
what we truly desire.

Uriel's Message-Trust Your Spiritual Competence
Wherever you find yourself on your spiritual path at this
moment is exactly where you need to be. If you are
unhappy with your situation, you have lessons to learn
from it. No situation is ever permanent as the Universe
is a dynamic place, where the energies are constantly
changing and shifting. When your life situation appears
hopeless you believe that it is because you are not
spiritually competent and have lost your connection to
Spirit. What you are experiencing are the lessons that
you have to learn and it is because of your spiritual
competence that you are able to experience and to
learn from them.
The greatest teachers among you have all lived
through experiences that they found difficult. Each of
them had, at times, felt that they had lost their
connection to Spirit, that they had somehow failed on
their journey. Remember that the spiritual journey is
not linear; it is an evolutionary spiral that you ascend
from one level to the next, often repeating experiences
but with different perspectives. No matter how difficult
your lesson, you have all of the spiritual knowledge
that you need to learn from it and to move past it. But
you must trust your spiritual competence.
It is part of humanity's pattern to place one person
over another, to judge one person as wiser, more
knowledgeable, more competent than another. No
person is better or more accomplished spiritually than
another as each of you is on a unique path, learning
lessons that have been created by your Soul to
accomplish its purposes in your lifetime. Each of your
lessons has been created with the knowledge that you
would use your spiritual competence to resolve it. You
may, at times, been led to others to help you but that
is not because you are incompetent, it is because you
sometimes get stuck in a lesson and need assistance
with it, or it is part of their spiritual journey to help you
with yours.
Your journey may seem long and difficult but it is not a
test of your spiritual competence. It is merely the way
in which your Soul reconnects you with your power and
brings your spiritual nature into prominence in your
lives. When you reach the point where you no longer
need to suffer to learn your lessons, you will be able to
effortlessly call forth your spiritual nature and create a
balance between the spiritual and material so that you
do indeed live in heaven on earth. From a spiritual
perspective, you are already at that point. Remember,
it is not the spiritual world that is moving closer to you,
but you who are moving closer to Spirit. You are and
have always been, all-knowing and all-powerful. Trust
your spiritual competence and you will move forward
with greater ease on your path.

The Indigo and Crystal Imagination
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency.This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world. Along with their special gifts and talents, they
also have certain needs and the purpose of this series
is to help them and their parents find solutions to these
needs so that Indigos and Crystals can do the work
that they came here to do.
As a parent of Indigos and a Crystal child, I am often
amazed at how they remember conversations,
especially those that have to do with situations that
are important to them. Quite frankly, what they
remember about my part in a conversation often in no
way resembles what I said and not only are they not
willing to listen to my explanations, they absolutely
know that what they heard was right. In all
seriousness, this gets to be a problem when the
subject is important and they try to hold me to
promises that I never made or, are angry with me for
things that I never said. I have a very good memory
and can usually remember conversations quite clearly,
so I know that my version is the correct one. What I
have noticed is that Indigos and Crystals not only have
the selective hearing that is prevalent among children,
especially teenagers, but they have strong imaginations
that allow them to create a reality that exists only in
their minds and they refuse to acknowledge anything
else.
In the series on Indigos and suicide I mentioned how
Indigos could go into a depression that was to them,
like falling in a black hole and it was very difficult for
them to get out of it. As their parents, we may not
understand why they are unhappy or angry and cannot
remember anything that occurred to create the
situation. In all likelihood, nothing occurred, at least
not in our minds. But what they interpreted and then
used to create the scenario that they are experiencing
is something that is often far removed from reality. As
an example, my younger son, asked me whether he had
been a planned pregnancy. He was not, so I smiled and
said that he was a 'surprise.' He then asked his
grandmother, who said the same thing. Then he told his
father, very angrily, that he had been a mistake, and
was unwanted, which is not at all what was said to
him. At the time he was angry about other things and
this created an outlet for his anger. The situation grew
quickly out of control, with several angry and tearful
arguments until we finally resolved it. But for him, my
brief comment took on a life of its own thanks to his
imagination.
Perhaps it would help us to understand Indigo and
Crystal children if we realized that they have active
imaginations that can easily misinterpret and
misunderstand even the simplest of conversations.
They then use that information to build upon any fears
or anger that they have at the moment and the
situation quickly escalates out of control. As they
become angry and withdraw, it may be helpful to ask
them what they remember about a situation nor
conversation (this also applies to situations). Then we
can see how they have interpreted the details, what
they may have misinterpreted or misunderstood and
work at a resolution keeping their perspective in mind.
Although it may not resemble the truth, it is the truth
for them and is what they believe, so we must work
with that in order to help them bring their reality back
into focus with what actually happened. I know that
parenting these children is not always easy but
understanding their perspective and knowing that it
does not always coincide with ours, is a good way to
help them through difficult periods and to make our
experience with them more pleasant.
