Messages from the Past
When I was four years old, I fell while running to ride
my sister's tricycle. A week later I became ill at school
and went to the hospital. I lapsed into a coma and
when I awoke I was paralyzed from the neck down.
While I did recover my motor skills after many years of
often painful therapy, what I remember about that
incident is my parents telling me is that I almost died.
Believing there to be connection between running for
my sister's tricycle, which I really wanted to ride, and
my subsequent illness, I adopted the belief that if I
went after what I wanted I would die. It took me many
years to make the connection between my parents'
remarks and my lifelong fear of going after what I
wanted.
The fear of 'what might happen' is a very strong
deterrent for us and has the ability to stop us in our
tracks, no matter how much we want something or
know that we should move forward. Each of us has
heard messages at some point in our childhood that
can make us fear what 'might happen' and they stay
with us and serve as painful reminders of past pain, our
shortcomings, our disappointments and our failures.
Unless we address and disprove them, these messages
stay with us and we unconsciously choose people,
situations and even lifestyles that make them true.
In my experience, it took many years for me to put the
pieces together and understand why I could go just so
far in any situation and then stopped, usually because
something fell apart or ended. Now I understand that I
chose employers, friends and relationships that would
make my belief about what would happen to me if I
went after what I wanted true. Once I could put the
pieces together and understand how my fears created
that belief, though, I no longer had to deal with the
situation because it was no longer true. My parents
were telling the truth-I did nearly die, but in my mind
what they said took on a whole different meaning.
Whether the messages you heard were meant to be
mean or not, were intentional or unintentional or even
true or untrue, their effect on your life can be very real
and can serve to tie you down, limit your life and
create a reality where you are blocked at every turn.
This week, examine a childhood belief that you believe
to be true. It could be that you are not smart, talented
or even worthy. As yourself if it was really true then (it
probably wasn't) and if you still want it to be true
today. Once you can release that belief you can be
free of its effects and move forward in your life, free
from its restraints because it can no longer tie you
down. Then you can move forward to create the reality
you want to live in.

do, should be doing or want to do but seem unable to
move in that direction. Our inertia has many causes,
both conscious and unconscious and these things serve
to tie us down. This weeks message is about the
Messages from the Past that tie us down.

When the Student is Ready
When we are ready to learn something, someone in our
life appears to help us with the lesson. We may meet
someone who imparts a key piece of knowledge that
helps us understand a situation, or we may find a book
or seminar that helps us move forward on our path. Our
ability to connect with what we need to learn from
occurs when we are ready, at the point in our life when
we are able to understand and assimilate the
information. It is all a matter of timing, as with
everything in the Universe, that helps us gain clarity
and learning from these experiences. But they only
happen when we are ready.
Once we have uncovered information that enlightens
us, we may want to share it with others. We know that
it will help them too and do our best to explain what we
have learned to them. If our efforts are met with a
blank stare or even with resistance, we wonder
whether we are not doing a good job of explaining or
perhaps doubt what we have learned. So we try even
harder to get them to understand, to learn and to
believe as we do. And they resist even more. It's not
that we have not learned anything, it's just that they
are not ready.
Each of us learns what we need to know to move
forward on our own spiritual journey at the right time.
And when we're ready. The person who enlightens us
today may be someone that we would not have even
spoken to six months earlier. Or the book that changes
our life may not have interested us before this moment.
No matter how close we are to someone else, we
cannot get them to move forward on their spiritual
journey until they are ready. And we have to accept
that they may never be ready, never be willing to learn
from us or from others. It has nothing to do with us our
abilities; they simply are not ready.
We can all remember a time when we did not
understand spiritual principles. While we were born with
strong spiritual connections, most of us lost them
during our childhood and became adults with very little
spiritual knowledge. Our journey to spiritual
understanding has had its moments of doubt and
disbelief. When we were ready, we understood. While
we can share our spiritual knowledge and understanding
with others, we must respect their state of readiness
and their ability to understand and accept what we are
telling them. When they are ready, they will come to us
with questions, hungry for information. Until that time,
we can shine our light brightly, knowing that we do, in
many small ways, show others where we are on our
spiritual journey and when they are ready, we will be
able to share what we know with them and they too
will understand .

Uriel's Message-For the Good of All
Whatever you ask for yourself, you also ask for the
good of all. When you create a reality where peace, joy
and unconditional love exist, it becomes a possibility for
everyone. Each thing that you ask for creates a
vibration that resonates throughout the Universe.
Every prayer that you pray, every wish that you make,
has an effect on everyone, everywhere. You are all
connected and part of the human family, so what
affects one affects all.
At this time of the Shift, many of you have found your
power, your ability to create miracles, your connection
with the Source. It is an exciting and powerful time for
all of humanity. Because you do this, you make it
possible for everyone to do so. Each one of you is
capable of changing the course of humanity because
you are affirming your divinity, your spiritual being. This
raises your vibrations and creates a resonance that the
rest of humanity can also achieve. While there is much
pain, sadness, anger, fear and hurt in the world at this
time, there is also much light and awakening as many
people are focused on their spiritual journey.
The old paradigm of having more or being better than
others has gone away. The new world has no place for
those who want to put themselves above others, to
differentiate on the basis of material goods, physical
attributes or other elements whose purpose is to
separate and create divisions among people. The
Oneness of humanity means that all are equal, as they
have always been in the eyes of the Creator. So all
may be blessed, according to their abilities, spiritual
understanding and needs. Each will receive what they
need and are willing and able to accept.
When you remember that all of humanity benefits from
your ability to create miracles, step into your power
and move forward on your spiritual journey, you
increase your power exponentially and spread the good
that you create in your life to everyone, everywhere. If
you have felt that you should not ask for miracles
because you are undeserving or should not ask for
more than what you have, know that you are creating
these miracles for yourself and for everyone. It is time
for each of you to step into your birthright, which is
living miraculous lives, where everything you need flows
effortlessly to you. Accept this gift and its power,
embrace it and use it every day, knowing that when
you do so you do it for the good of all.

The Indigo Mirror
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency.This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world. Along with their special gifts and talents, they
also have certain needs and the purpose of this series
is to help them and their parents find solutions to these
needs so that Indigos and Crystals can do the work
that they came here to do.
My Indigo children have always surprised me by their
ability to choose the worst friends and the most
difficult romantic relationships. If there was a child who
was always in trouble my Indigo son was his friend. If
there was a girl who would break his heart, he would
invariably fall head over heals in love with her. And he
never seemed to be able to see the danger in or
inevitable outcome of these relationships, despite my
telling him, until he had been disappointed, disillusioned
and in a state of total despair. 'Why does this always
happen to me' he would ask me, truly not
understanding that he had just chosen the same friend,
the same girlfriend, as the one before, they just had a
different face. What is it about these children that
makes them appear to deliberately choose to associate
with the people who will hurt them the most?
Indigos never seem to see the negative side of people,
even if it clearly obvious to everyone else. They see
people as they want to see them or as they could be,
not as they are. Yes, there are redeemable qualities in
everyone but to an Indigo, those qualities are right at
the surface, ready to be revealed, instead of under
layers of emotional debris. In their minds, they will be
able to change and heal that person in a relatively
short period of time and then they will reap the
benefits in the form of a great friendship or a wonderful
relationship. They don't realize that there are those
who don't want to be healed, who don't know how to
be nice to others and who don't play fair. So they get
themselves involved in relationships that teach them,
again, that they can't heal everyone. They also need
to learn that healing is a process that requires a
willingness to heal and an acknowledgement of the
need to heal on the part of the other person.
The vision of the Indigos is manifested in their healing
energies, which they express in their usual way,
forgetting that what they see, with their intuitive self,
is not always what is in front of them. Their intuitive
self shows them the beauty of a person's spirit and the
potential that they have. But they don't have the
patience to wait for the person to arrive at this vision
for themselves. They have to show them by trying to
become the mirror of their best self and getting hurt,
quite deeply, when the person refuses to accept the
image that the Indigo is doing their best to portray.
And they can do this for a long time, no matter how
much it hurts, until they realize that the situation is not
going to change. Is there a solution? How many of us
listened to our parents when we were teens and young
adults? The best that we can do is to continue to
support them, dry their tears when they get their
hearts broken and remind them that not everyone
wants to be healed. While their 'bulldozer' attitude gets
them into trouble, it is also what keeps them on their
path and is part of the energy that they came with and
their ability to get things done. Eventually, they do
learn and then they can find ways to heal others
without getting hurt themselves.
