Unconscious Obligations
There are many areas of our life in which we can feel
tied down, unable to move forward or powerless to
change. Some of these we are aware of-the job that
we must keep in order to maintain our lifestyle, the
relationship that we must work through, the things that
we must do in order to live. But there are other
obligations that drive us, sometimes even more
powerfully than we know and these are our
unconscious obligations.
While our conscious obligations point us in the direction
we wish to go, it is our unconscious obligations, those
things that we believe about ourselves and our goals,
that determine whether we arrive or not. So if we're
not living the life of our dreams or achieving our goals,
it is because there is something we may not even be
aware of standing in our way. In order to move
forward, we must find out what it is and release it.
The things that happened during the course of our lives
that made us feel unworthy, unloved, undeserving and
unsuccessful become part of our unconscious
obligations. Although it may appear that we would try
to prove these beliefs wrong, we very often work hard
to make them true and sabotage our own success. So
while we may wish to prove person who told us that we
would never be successful wrong, what we wind up
doing is creating situations where we are not
successful, or where we create the opportunity for
success and at the last minute, destroy what we have
created. We can change that.
This week, look at a goal that you wish to achieve but
just can't seem to make it work. Do you have an
unconscious obligation around that goal? Did someone
once say something to you, even in passing, that
caused you to believe that you would not be able to
achieve your dreams? All of us have been the recipient
of hurtful comments from others. Whether or not they
were deliberate, they left a wound that needs healing.
If you see areas in your life where you know that you
sabotage your own efforts, uncover the unconscious
obligation that you may be carrying and allow yourself
to move forward in your life, into joy, peace and the
realization of your dreams.

do, should be doing or want to do but seem unable to
move in that direction. Our inertia has many causes,
both conscious and unconscious and these things serve
to tie us down. This weeks message is about the

Getting Closure
Every parting has a difficult element, whether it is
within a relationship, job, move or other life change.
Any time that we have to watch a door close that we
wish would remain open we would like to believe that
we could have done something, anything, to change
the situation. If this is within a relationship, it is doubly
difficult because it we want an explanation, a reason
and sometimes, a chance to try again and fix whatever
was broken. We want closure, an ending that we can
live with. But while we can get closure, we will never
get back to where we were before the situation started.
Getting closure in a situation does not mean that
whatever ended never happened, that we will be back
to ground zero, that we will be able to rid ourselves of
the memory of that period of our lives. Instead, getting
closure means that we end our ties to that situation,
that we free ourselves from the endless worrying,
thinking and wondering whether we could have done
anything to avoid the situation. To find peace we must
remember that each of our life experiences has a lesson
and a gift; the lesson is the learning and the gift is the
spiritual growth that we achieve, creating the
opportunity for a more wonderful situation in the
future. But first we must get closure.
We all have different ways of dealing with painful
endings; some of us simply let go and move on, others
linger on, hoping that it was all a bad dream, that it
didn't really happen. And still others get angry and
bitter, and then decide that the situation wasn't really
all they thought it was, that it didn't happen. They
want their lives to start over at that place where the
situation began, and pretend that their feelings don't
exist. Each of these things, in the short term, can help
us cope with what we don't want to face. But in the
long term, they simply serve to prolong the pain.
There is some good in every situation and that is what
we must remember in order to get closure, to be
complete and finished with a situation. What did we
enjoy, what did we learn and how have we benefited
from it are questions that we can ask ourselves. Then,
we can move on to appreciating the lesson and
remembering the good things, forgiving ourselves for
experiencing the pain and releasing the experience as
another lesson that we have learned. We will get
closure when we realize that another's decision is not
about us and there are times when all we can do is
move on. Closure is the gift that we give to ourselves
when we are ready to live in complete detachment and
know that every ending is simply a door opening to a
wonderful beginning.

Uriel's Message-You are the Authority
You are the authority in your life. There is no power in
the Universe that has control over you and your life. It
is your free will that allows you to choose the reality
that you wish to create, just as your free will also
allows you to make other choices. While you can be
influenced by others and often are, the final choice in
the path that you take is yours. When you give your
authority to others, believing that they know best or
that they can more efficiently create what you want,
you simply give your power away and even then, they
have no authority in your life other than what you allow
them to have.
Giving your authority to others puts you in the position
of walking on their path, which may not be the best
option for you. You cannot adopt another's experience
as your own, just as you cannot see the world with the
same perspective as anyone else. If you believe that
others can make better choices than you can, you are
living with the expectation that they will take care of
you, make you happy, make you feel better or bring
you success. Have you had the experience where this
has not happened?
Claiming your authority in your life puts you in the
powerful position of eliminating those people who need
to usurp your power in order to feel powerful. Each
person chooses the path they wish to follow and will
connect with those who have chosen similar paths.
When you know, without question, that you are the
authority in your life, you do not need to experience
realities where you give your power away. No one can
bring more joy, peace, blessings, security, abundance
or love to your life than you can at any moment in time.
Living with the knowledge that you are the authority in
your life puts reminds you that you are in charge and
that your reality will unfold as you create it. This is
powerful knowledge as it reminds you that you are a co-
creator with the Universe-it is your job to ask for what
you want and the Universe responds accordingly. This
is not a random process-you will always receive
exactly what you ask for, according to your intention
and trust. So when you feel tempted to allow another
to bring you joy, love, acceptance or happiness in
exchange for your power, remember that you are the
authority in your life. Do you want to walk on another's
path? Remember also that you can only receive as
much love, peace, abundance or happiness as you are
capable of extending to yourself. Walk in power this
week and remember that you are the authority in your
life.

Indigos and Spirituality
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency.This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world. Along with their special gifts and talents, they
also have certain needs and the purpose of this series
is to help them and their parents find solutions to these
needs so that Indigos and Crystals can do the work
that they came here to do.
Despite their strong intuitive abilities, Indigos are
remarkably 'non-spiritual.' They seem to have no
interest in spiritual topics, are not interested in reading
spiritual books or literature and have little desire to
attend spiritual seminars or learning venues. And it is
not because they already know these things and can
talk about them, at least not entirely. They do know
spirituality because they are spiritual and they don't
like wasting their time talking about things that they
already know about. In fact, Indigos have very little
patience with anything that involves covering subjects
that they are already familiar with. So how do we
discuss spiritual topics with them if they aren't
interested in talking?
Indigos were born with spiritual knowledge and
understanding. They have much more than we, their
parents, do. In fact, everything that they do has some
spiritual context. And their intuitive abilities are
extraordinary, although many of them don't openly use
these skills. But they don't want to learn about
something they already know. Indigos learn by
experience and doing, not by hearing others talk about
subjects. That is one of the reasons they have so
many problems in school-they need to experience their
learning, not read about it in a book. And their intuitive
sense about people is very strong-they know when
someone is not honestly representing their knowledge
or does not have information that is of benefit to them.
So unless someone is very honest and really living in
synch with the information that they are providing,
Indigos will not be interested.
There has been a shift in the amount and type of
spiritual information available since the Indigos were
born. And this has been timed to be available for the
Indigos' entry into an age where they would need
information to help them with their lives. The
information that we used to get to where we are on
our spiritual journey is not beneficial to the Indigos.
They are already familiar with it and have a strong
inner knowing that they cannot explain and really are
not interested. But there are new teachers and new
information are now available to help and different
ways of explaining spiritual concepts to them in ways
that an Indigo can understand. Remember that they
learn by experience and need more information on how
the material world works, than the spiritual. If we
adjust the information that we provide them to help
them put the material world into better focus and guide
them to understanding how the spiritual world
manifests in the material, they would be more open to
learning and understanding, with practical applications
that they can relate to. Teaching an Indigo spirituality
will probably not generate much interest. But teaching
them how the material and spiritual work together just
may get them to look in your direction and learn
something that they can use to help them on their
journey.
