Discovering the Destination
Our spiritual journey consists of experiences whose
purpose is to help us achieve the lessons we came
here to learn. From a spiritual perspective our journey
is easy. But the human experience often gets in the
way and we lose our focus and direction. We forget
that we are in control of both the journey and how we
arrive at the destination. When we feel lost we are not
failing, we have just forgotten what we were supposed
to focus on. We just need to re-discover the
destination.
The destination of our spiritual journey is to reconnect
with our Self, to find the balance between the spiritual
and the material and then manifest that in our life.
That is the purpose of each of our lessons. The end of
our journey does not occur when die and hopefully go
to heaven, although that is what religions teach us.
Each of us has, as part of our journey, to learn to
create heaven on earth for ourselves. That can be
achieved within a lifetime and it is an internal process,
not an external one. Once we have heaven in our
heart, we can manifest it in our life.
Our destination is internal and we reach it when we
know the joy and unconditional love that is the energy
of the spiritual realm. We can achieve that destination
in a single lesson or in a hundred lessons. How long
it takes is not important and the Universe is infinitely
patient with us. We are the ones who become
frustrated with ourselves when life becomes too
painful or difficult. And we judge ourselves for not
working fast or hard enough. Our spiritual journey is
internal and when we reach our destination, we will
know by how we feel on the inside, not by what we
have in the material world.
Discovering the destination means understanding
how what we came here to learn, heal and achieve is
used to move us forward on our spiritual path. Those
things are always revealed in our lessons and when
we step out of the emotions and remove our
attachments to our experiences, we begin to see the
patterns in the people and situations we encounter
and the lessons become obvious. Once we have
learned our lessons we can choose other paths and
destinations. Each journey provides us with new
understanding and another opportunity to create the
joy, unconditional love and boundless abundance that
is our spiritual heritage. This is what heaven on earth
is all about.

Happy Birthday Uriel Heals
This week marks the third anniversary of the Uriel
Heals newsletter. When I was guided to begin the
journey of creating this newsletter I was very nervous
and was not sure whether I could do it. After several
months of being told to start, I built the website and
wrote the first newsletter. I thought it would be monthly
but was told to write it weekly. So I did, knowing that I
would get the information I needed. And each week
the messages come, each one written the night of
publication, as this one is.
Becoming a spiritual healer, writer and teacher was
not my life goal. I wanted to be a corporate vice
president, which I tried to do for many years but that
never materialized. Instead, I started new jobs only to
lose them for one reason or another. My friends say
that when I start a job the company is ready to close.
And that is what has consistently happened.
When I finally let go of that, other doors opened for me,
including this newsletter. But accepting this journey
was not easy for me. I had to overcome my family's
disapproval, let go of what I thought my path was and
write for an audience that had yet to be developed. The
first newsletter went to three people, including me. It
was a leap of faith and trust as well as an
acknowledgement of what I came here to do.
I consider it a great honor to be able to deliver these
messages and I am rewarded by the many emails I
receive every week from readers who tell me that the
messages give them hope, understanding and help
them on their path. These messages come from all
over the world, thanks to the Internet, and many new
subscribers receive the newsletter each week. Each
of us has a message to share, whether it is to an
audience of one or one million. And now is the best
time to start. If you have a book, article or newsletter
that you have been thinking about writing, just begin.
The Universe will deliver the audience when you affirm
your willingness to begin your work. And the joy and
understanding you will bring to those who need to
hear what you have to say will be multiplied in your
own life. Thank you for being a newsletter reader and
subscriber. I appreciate each one of you and hope to
meet you one day. I will soon be publishing the three
years of newsletters in book format and will announce
their availability here and on the website.

Uriel's Message-What Do You Expect of Yourself?
You have expectations of yourselves that concern how
you are able to create your life, the money you earn,
the material goods you possess, your success and
happiness. How do you create the expectations and
what happens when they are not met? It is
disappointing when your expectations are not met.
Then what you do achieve seems unimportant even
though you may have achieved great things when
viewed from the perspective of your soul's growth and
the lifetimes that you have spent in trying to achieve
your goals. Are you perfect and do you strive for
perfection in all that you do? In order to be successful
in all that you do, you must look at what you expect of
yourself and how you measure perfection.
Do you expect to be happy and prosperous? Those
are always possible for you. What makes them
possible or not is how you base your expectations.
When you consider what you want, what is important
to you and what you are capable of then you are
considering what is right for you. When you look at
someone else's results and decide that since they
look happier than you are so what they are doing must
be the right thing for you to do, then you are basing
them on something outside of yourself. Do you think
that whatever brings them success will work for you
too? Choosing what someone else has done to
create your expectations of yourself is trying to create
your life to mirror theirs. That may not create the
results that you want.
Do you expect to be perfect? Is your view of perfection
spiritual or material? With a spiritual view of perfection
everything is always perfect, all of the time. Things do
not go from bad to worse, they move from one state of
perfection to another. A material view of perfection
focuses on specific results and if those are not
achieved then the situation is imperfect. The material
view does not consider what is best for your soul's
growth and whether what you are trying to achieve is
perfect or right for you.
Rather than having expectations focus in being in the
flow of what is in your Highest Good. When you are in
this energy everything in your life flows effortlessly.
What is right for you is increased, what is no longer
necessary for your soul's growth moves out of your
way. This is as it should be. Your expectations serve
to limit your journey because they are often focused on
what others have and do. Trying to be perfect asks the
Universe to improve on perfection. This week,
consider what you expect of yourself and how you
chose that. Focus on what you want, what is in your
Highest good and let the miracles flow to you. See
your life as perfect, at this moment, and a let it flow
from one stage of perfection to another.

Today's Children--What to do with Adult Indigo Energy
I know many adult Indigos, and I am one of them, who
do not have 'normal' lives. Many have been married
and divorced more than once and now choose to be
single. Many are openly gay despite their families'
disapproval. Some have never been married or had
children. Others are single and wonder whether they
will ever be in a relationship again. Most have had a
varied work life without being able to create a career or
have lost their jobs and can't find another one. All of
us, to some degree, wonder what we did to have a life
that is so different from what we were taught was
a 'normal' adult life. There is nothing wrong with us,
it's about being an Indigo.
We were generally misunderstood, alone and
wondered why we could not be like other children.
Even our parents didn't understand us and if we had
siblings, we were the different or difficult child. All of
this had a purpose. We came here as pioneers and
needed to set the energy for the children that we
would have. So we had to bring in the Indigo energy
and experience it for ourselves. And the issues we
had as children have seemed to carry over into our
adult lives, so we are still not like other people and our
lives do not mirror what is 'normal'. But we have
something others don't.
The adult Indigo energy is creative and independent,
intuitive and highly spiritual. If many of us don't have a
lot of connections in the material world, we more than
make up for it in the spiritual realm. Our biggest
problem is not how to connect but how to stay
grounded. So what do we do with this energy? It is
very helpful to stop trying to be 'normal', to not focus
on what is not happening in your life and to start
seeing yourself in terms of your potential and gifts.
Most adult Indigos are talented in many areas and
focusing on one is difficult, so don't. Do whatever you
feel you are best at for that moment. Then, do
something else. Our generation has seen the end of
lifetime employment, and we are all entrepreneurs at
heart. If starting a business is what you want to do,
then do that. Don't focus on what you think you should
do or what will earn the most money, look at what you
are passionate about. The old saying is true, 'do what
you love and the money follows.'
Most adult Indigos had difficult relationships with one
or both parents and sometimes their extended
families. Some have created a circle of friends that
offer them the love and support that they would like to
have and don't get from family members. We are the
first generation to do this and creating a new family is
an option for us. We can love our family but if they can't
give us love and support, we will get it somewhere
else. And we're independent so we need to create a
different kind of committed relationship, one where we
can enjoy our freedom while being with someone who
respects and honors us. Many Indigos I know have
tried traditional relationships without success. So
create the relationship you want, know that it will come
to you at the right time and while it's on its way, be
happy, live your life, use your creative energy and do
what makes you happy. Indigos are capable of great
joy and spreading it to others.
