So many of the children born now are highly evolved, more connected to spirit than ego, aware of multiple dimensions, uncomfortable in the third dimension and display a level of intelligence that we can call 'genius'. Even at a young age they have a high level of spiritual understanding that can surprise us and take much of what we have taken years to learn for granted. They can easily communicate with the 'other side' and wonder why we cannot. And because they are so evolved they find much about this world boring and easily become disinterested, distracted and even depressed.

While these children are wonderful, their parents and grandparents are frustrated and not sure how to handle their questions and attitude. Those who are old enough to be in school are often withdrawn because they are not like other children. Or they are so bored that they become behavior problems in their search for attention. Those who are too young for school are already reading and talking at levels that schools are not prepared to address. These are the children that the Indigos have been changing the system for but the change has not come quickly enough.

What is most amazing about these children is their level of intelligence, which we would call genius and marvel at how smart they are. But we may have to think of a new word to describe them because they are going to be more the norm than the exception. These new children are born knowing and for them, childhood is something they must tolerate before becoming adults. They become frustrated by our expectations of them acting like 'children' when they feel they are the smart ones in the room.

What do you do with a child that is so intelligent that everything bores them? They need to be involved in creative activities that keep them motivated to learn. Because it comes so easily to them, they don't care about good grades so we will find new ways of compelling them to use their gifts. Involving them in the arts-music, art, writing, singing-will be important, as well as setting new precedents for learning in the education system that are more skill and knowledge based. These children will become the new scientists, politicians, leaders and teachers who will provide amazing perspectives on the world's issues, without the control and power issues that have been used in the past. We can support and guide them and let them know that we acknowledge who they are and will provide them with the best tools for learning so they can 'become' without limitations.
