This week's messages
Surrender
Learning to release what no longer serves us is an
important part of our spiritual journey. As we reconnect
with our spiritual center, we become more aware of the
places where we are disconnected, which we notice as
being where we are 'stuck'. We make them 'go away'
through the process of release, through which we
release our connection to them. Once we have
acknowledge and accepted them, understanding what
they are, and forgiven ourselves and others involved,
then we can surrender, which is the next step in the
release process.
Surrender doesn't mean giving up, it means that we
stop fighting and let go of what we have been holding
onto. If we think about it, the things that we must
release are generally not those which come easily to
us, or have an effortless presence in our lives. What
comes up for release is that which is difficult, painful,
or full of struggle. Once we are aware of what we are
fighting and why we feel obligated to fight for or
against it, we can surrender our attachments to it. And
we can release everything that causes us pain-all of
hurts, disappointments, pain, regrets, guilt-all of it can
be surrendered to the Universe, when we choose to do
so.
Too often we equate surrender with defeat and that is
not what the spiritual concept of surrender is about.
When we surrender we remove our attachment to
circumstances and situations, whether they are in the
present or in the past. When we are no longer
attached to them, they lose their meaning and
significance in our lives. Then we are free to focus our
energy elsewhere. Whatever we struggle with in our
lives take a great deal of our energy, and that is
energy that we are unable to focus in other ways, such
as manifesting what we want in our reality.
When we surrender we simply acknowledge our
unwillingness to continue the struggle. And that is
usually all the Universe requires to help us move the
situation out of our reality. Because until we agree to
surrender, to remove our attachments, the Universe is
powerless to help us. Surrender is a choice that we
make when we're ready to live a different kind of life,
to open ourselves to the opportunity to move forward
on our spiritual path. If you are facing a situation and
are ready to let it go, simply surrender it to the
Universe. You have now placed it with a Higher Power
that can deal with it more effectively, without your
input. You will receive a sense of peace and feel lighter
as you let go of a burden that you have been carrying.
If it comes up again, remember that you have let it go
and it is no longer part of your reality.

Blessings to you all!
The May article is posted on the Uriel Heals website
and this month's message is about How to Release. One
lesson of the Shift is to release that which no longer
serves us. How do we do that and feel good about it?
There are five steps to the process. This week's
message is on the fourth step, Surrender.
Surrender is not about giving up, it is a process of
turning over everything that we no longer need to the
Universe. This week's Today's Children article discusses
how Indigo children have their own version of the truth.
Archangel Uriel's message is about developing a
peaceful mind. The series on Indigos and Suicide is
available on the Today's Children page, in response to
your requests. Read the newsletter in Spanish at Zona
Mistica. The link is on the Uriel Heals home page.
I would like to welcome all of our new subscribers and

Responding to Emergencies
There was a time in my life when it seemed that I went
from one chaotic drama to the next. There were daily
and weekly dramas that needed my time and attention
and it seemed that all I did was address the demands
of the current emergency. And each emergency
seemed to create another one. With the understanding
that I have now, I know that while the situations did
require my attention, changing my response may have
created different outcomes for me. How we deal with
the emergencies, the dramas, in our lives is what
determines whether we will deal with them successfully
or just create another problem.
Each time we're faced with a drama that requires our
immediate attention and action, what I call
emergencies, we have a variety of choices as to how
we will respond. Of course, at the time, the fact that
we have choices is not obvious and we generally
respond with varying degrees of emotion, given the
nature of the incident. It is only later, after the
emergency has passed, that we realize we could have
done things differently. Not to worry, there will be
another emergency that will allow us to choose again
and this time if we step back for just a moment, we will
be aware of the different choices that are available to
us.
We connect to the dramas in our lives because they
push our buttons. And they do so for a very good
reason, so that we can learn to not react when our
buttons get pushed. Or, so that we can get rid of the
buttons altogether. But until we are able to stop
responding from emotion and fear, we will address each
emergency in the same way. And they will come up
again and again, so that we can eventually learn to do
something different. One thing I have learned is that
when it comes to learning lessons, the Universe is
infinitely patient-it will work with us until we learn,
however long it takes.
Each time we respond to a situation in anger or fear,
we know that it is a wound that we are being called to
heal. Can we use our spiritual knowledge to heal and
find peace, or will we feel compelled to continue to
respond to our emergencies in the same way, which will
only create more drama? What if we respond
differently, will something else happen? Are we willing
to try? If we are, in the moment that it takes to take a
deep breath we can think of an alternative way of
dealing with a situation. Once we learn that
emergencies are merely our way of presenting areas
that need healing, we can allow ourselves to find
different responses to our emergencies and to utilize
them as the opportunities for healing that they are.

Uriel's Message-Develop a Peaceful Mind
You are challenged to develop your mind by gaining
more knowledge, education and wisdom. Your mind is
busy, every day, processing the information that it
receives and molding it to fit your belief systems.
Although you are not aware of it, the mind is
constantly speaking to you, reminding you of the past,
ensuring that the information you receive fits into the
belief template that it has created. What if your mind
were peaceful, thinking only thoughts of peace, joy and
unconditional love? What if every thought was focused
on what you want in your reality, instead of what you
must do to avoid pain, become a better person or
ensure that you are always doing what others expect
you to do? You can do this by developing a peaceful
mind which takes some effort but will bring joy into
your life.
When you have a peaceful mind, there is no drama in
your life because you do not connect with drama.
When your mind is at peace, there is no fear in your life
because there is nothing in your thoughts that will
connect with fear. When your mind is at peace there is
no sadness or discord because it is your thoughts that
connect with those energies. And because your mind is
not seeking ways to validate all of its negative beliefs
you only see the best in yourself and in everyone else.
And they see only the best in you.
When you focus your intention on developing a
peaceful mind, you notice that you are no longer
disturbed by what others say or do because it does not
matter. You only able to become upset or angry with
others to the extent that the mind is able to connect
with them. When that connection is broken because
the mind is at peace the way that you interpret what
others say and do changes as well. And you can be
more successful in manifesting what you want because
your efforts are supported by your mind, instead of
being challenged.
To develop a peaceful mind, take some time every day
to focus on your thoughts, to know and understand
them. When you are unaware of your thoughts, they
create your reality for you. This is the first step
towards having a mind that is at peace, for when you
know your thoughts you have control over what is
being created in your world. Once you are aware of
what your thoughts are, you can begin to direct them
so that your thoughts are only about what you want in
your reality and nothing else. Remember that thoughts
have energy and are powerful tools of manifestation.
Develop a peaceful mind and you will notice the
changes in how others respond to you and you to them
and what is manifesting in your reality. The mind works
with your intention when it is at peace and helps
create the joy, peace and unconditional love that you
desire.

Crystals, the Need for Touch
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency. This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world. Along with their special gifts and talents, they
also have certain needs and the purpose of this series
is to help them and their parents find solutions to these
needs so that Indigos and Crystals can do the work
that they came here to do.
I always knew when my children were not telling me
the truth, so it made it very difficult to deal with my
Indigo son when he would look me straight in the eye
and tell me he was being truthful, when I knew he was
lying through his teeth. I was amazed that he could lie
about things that were not important (and some that
were) with a straight face, looking so innocent that I
wondered if he was being truthful (he was not). And
then I would always find out and he would lie about
having told a lie. Many Indigos don't always tell the
truth when confronted with something, usually
something that they have done. In their defense, their
version of the truth is somewhat different from ours
and they have strange ways of justifying themselves.
For example, if they know that telling the truth will get
them into trouble, they will find a way to stay out of
trouble by telling their version of the truth which
technically, is not really a lie, but fairly close to one.
On a more serious note, because Indigos see the world
differently than we (their parents) do, it is hard to
make them understand the importance of telling the
truth as we define it. Their intelligence gets in the way
and they can find many ways of altering the truth so
that they can justify themselves. And they are smart
enough to get away with it. Although they understand
that they violate our trust by not being honest, it is
not easy to get them to act within those boundaries.
Because they are also highly intuitive, they generally
know the outcome of a situation and are smart enough
to manipulate the situation so they don't get
themselves in trouble.
As parents, though, it is very difficult to deal with
children who do not tell the truth. It's equally difficult
to explain what the truth is to someone who does not
share our perspective. Indigos have their minds made
up at an early age about what is true for them and
they don't change their minds easily. Communication is
important, as I have written before, and threats don't
work. Much can be accomplished with Indigos through
conversations and they will listen as long as they don't
feel threatened. It makes no sense to them, for
example, to tell the truth if they get punished for it. So
the alternative is to help them understand the purpose
behind telling the truth, as other people see it, and to
also speak to them about the consequences of actions
and behavior. This is all about directing their energy
towards generating positive and supportive results.
They are not a generation who will 'do as they are
told'. Instead, they are a generation who will do what
needs to be done and we can help them learn how to
use their gifts to create better relationships with
themselves and others by being truthful.
