The Signs of Change
We initiate the process of change when we make wish
that something in our lives would change or be
different. As soon as we make that wish, the Universe
begins the process of bringing the change to us. We
have set the energy in motion and at some point in
time it will manifest as the change that we wished for.
While we are often surprised by how the change
appears, we constantly receive signs that it is on its
way through a variety of signs whose purpose is to
guide and direct us. But we have to know what to look
for and to be paying attention if we are to use them to
our benefit.
We constantly receive signs whose purpose is to help
us on our path. Sometimes the signs are subtle,
sometimes they are so obvious that we cannot ignore
them. Signs can come to us in a variety of ways, a
song on the radio, a bumper sticker, a word heard in
passing, a billboard, or something that attracts our
attention. While the Universe cannot 'tell' us what to
do, which would be a violation of our free will, it can
provide us with guidance and direction by sending us
signs that we are on the right path.
For example, if you are wishing for a different job, you
may see employment ads, hear people talking about
their new job or have someone call you with information
about a job-all before you even start looking. These
are signs to you to start looking for another job. Or you
may receive signs at work, a missed promotion, difficult
working conditions or a feeling that you don't need to
be there. The Universe sends us signs as a show of
support and to let us know that options are available
and the change can happen effortlessly, if we pay
attention to the signs.
But when we wish for change, we are often at that
point where we are so unhappy or so upset with our
current situation that we don't notice the signs, don't
realize that they are for us or don't believe that the
Universe is supporting us. And that makes the change
so much more difficult. Life is supposed to be effortless
and we will be supported in everything that we do as
long as we pay attention to the signs that appear
before us and act on the information that they are
providing to us. This week, if you are in the process of
change, notice the signs that are around you. Is there
anything that catches your attention, is very obvious
or comes up repeatedly? That's a sign for you and if
you pay attention and act on it, you will continue to
receive signs on each step of that journey so that the
change occurs effortlessly and you move into your new
situation without drama and chaos. Don't be afraid to
ask for signs and then watch them appear before you.
You are supported in everything that you do and the
Universe will send signs that you are moving in the best
direction.

for change and then panic when it happens. We can
learn to manage change when we understand the
process which has four parts. The second part, the
Signs, is discussed this week. We receive many signs
that change is coming to us. Their purpose is to guide
us along that path. Are we paying attention?
This week's Today's Children article is about Indigo and
Crystal behavior. Are they guilty or innocent when they
don't behave as we expect them to?

A Spiritual Standard?
Many clients often ask me whether they are on the
right path, doing the right thing or are in the right place
on their spiritual journey. My response is always the
same, they are on the right path for them and their
spiritual evolution is perfect for them at that moment in
time. Those of us who whose spiritual education began
with religion have been taught that there is a standard
that we will never reach but must spend our lives
aspiring to. In the Shift, however, that mindset is no
longer valid. There is no spiritual standard and there is
nothing for us to aspire to, other than reconnecting
with the Source.
Some of my family is very involved in the Catholic
religion. So much so, that their greatest wish is for
their children to enter the church as priests or nuns.
For them, the spiritual standard of their success as
parents is for their children to join the church. And
they put a lot of pressure on their children to meet
that standard. Most didn't and their parents are very
disappointed. Everything in our society has a standard,
a measure of achievement or success that we should
all be trying to meet. In school the standard is good
grades, in our job it's getting promotions and there are
standards of wealth, achievement and morality. Since
everything else has a standard of achievement, why
doesn't spirituality?
One of the religious teachings that we are here to
change is the concept of a spiritual standard, the belief
that we must aspire to what other people have done or
are doing on a spiritual level in order to know that we
are 'spiritual.' Each of us will attain the level of
spiritual understanding that we are capable of. And no
matter how hard we try, we will not move past that
level until we are ready. And our spiritual journey will
never look like anyone else's because it is uniquely ours.
Each step on our spiritual path brings us new
understanding and we grow spiritually as a result of
that process. While we may set a personal spiritual
standard for ourselves, what is more important is that
we apply what we know in our lives, rather than put
pressure on ourselves to be like anyone else. There is
no spiritual standard, no measure of success, no future
reward for our journey other than this-when you are
evolving spiritually, your life will be filled with joy,
peace and unconditional love. That is the spiritual
standard that we can strive for and achieve for
ourselves. And once we achieve it for ourselves, it
becomes possible for the rest of the world. Don't worry
whether you are where you should be on a spiritual
level; know that you are exactly at the right level of
spiritual understanding right now, today, at this
moment. And each day provides you with the
opportunity to move forward along that path, learn
more, and to apply what you know in your own life.

Uriel's Message-The Heart of God
If you could know the heart of God, you would see
each person that you meet, each person in your life, as
their spiritual self and would know no emotion but
unconditional love for them and for everyone and
everything on the planet. You would see yourself as
the powerful, wise and wonderful being that you are.
You would be free from fear and all of its
manifestations. You would be at peace, knowing that
you are always protected, loved and guided on each
step of your journey. The heart of God lives in each of
you and manifests in your reality as miracles. The heart
of God is where you must connect with your own heart,
if you are to understand and experience the concept of
unconditional love and true joy.
Can humanity know the heart of God? There is a shift
in that direction and it is frightening for many people.
Knowing the heart of God means an end to war,
conflict and drama on a global scale. Can humanity live
without war and conflict? Knowing the heart of God
means an end to poverty, lack and suffering for
everyone but can you each accept that as the truth
for yourselves? The heart of God brings everything
down to a common denominator, unconditional love and
when there is no fear, there is only love. The heart of
God manifests in each of you when you recognize your
own perfection and divinity, and when you accept that
as the truth for yourself. The question is not whether
God loves the world and its people, but whether
humanity can love itself enough to know the heart of
God.
When the love that you feel for yourselves and for
others is dependent on action, expectation and results,
this is not the heart of God. At that level, you love
others if they love you, you love others if they look,
act or are in some way like you. Knowing the heart of
God means that you are willing to acknowledge the
divinity and perfection of each person and each person
knows and accepts that for themselves. In the heart of
God there is no distinction between anyone or
anything, all are equal in their divinity and perfection.
The heart of God is free from judgment and
expectations.
You will know the heart of God when you are able to
see it in yourself. Everything that you believe God is,
you are as well. When you love, accept, honor and
acknowledge yourself, you connect with and know the
heart of God. It is not a process that requires hard
work, sacrifice or suffering. It is a choice that you
make to connect with the heart of God. This is your
spiritual journey, the purpose of each of your lifetimes,
to reconnect to the Source, to know the heart of God,
to accept your divinity and exercise your power in your
reality. And to make that possible for all of humanity
by making it possible for yourselves. To know the heart
of God is to create heaven on earth.

Today's Children--Guilty or Innocent?
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency.This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world. Along with their special gifts and talents, they
also have certain needs and the purpose of this series
is to help them and their parents find solutions to these
needs so that Indigos and Crystals can do the work
that they came here to do.
My parents had very strong views about what
constituted right and wrong behavior and they
enforced their views by punishing me when I did
the 'wrong' things. Of course, I was always testing
those boundaries and spent a lot of time being
punished. As a result, I was determined to do things
differently with my own children, as did most of us who
now parent Indigos and Crystals. We know that certain
expectations of behavior just don't work with this
generation, who are not willing to accept our view of
the world as the truth. It is not possible for us to make
our children wrong just to prove we're right. And we
have to consider their views of what is right and wrong
before passing a verdict of guilty or innocent with
respect to their behavior.
Indigos will test our boundaries, especially if they know
how important they are to us. They will do everything
they can, even if it means being self-destructive, to
make their own decisions. Crystals will simply do what
they think is best for them, not because they are
testing us, but because that is what feels right to
them. We have been conditioned, by our own parents,
to look for motives when are children don't behave as
we expect them to. And if they behave in a certain
way, they must have done it on purpose, or for some
other reason. It is hard to acknowledge that they have
their own way of thinking about the world and their
place in it, and make their own decisions about their
behavior. Sometimes those decisions are not in their
best interest, but they don't think that far ahead.
'I don't know' is the response that my children gave
me when I asked them why they did something,
or 'because I wanted to.' How do you respond to the
truth when it's presented in that manner? As children
we lived in a world where standards of behavior
encompassed all children and allowed no flexibility for
individual personalities. Children were expected to
behave like children, meaning that they were to obey,
meet expectations and not complain. We are willing to
do things differently with our children and as we
address this issue with them, we also change our
perspective on what we expect from others' behavior.
Who is right and who is wrong, the person doing the
behavior or the one with the expectations? Are our
children guilty of not doing what we want them to or
innocent because they are being themselves? I don't
advocate allowing children to do whatever they want
and I didn't raise my children that way, but I do believe
that there is room for communication and negotiation,
especially with older children, in what we expect of
them and what they are capable of. The best thing
that we can do with our Indigo and Crystal children is
communicate, observe, share and most importantly,
love them. This will make all the difference in our
relationships with them and will create strong,
respectful relationships where they do what we ask
because they love us and know that we love them.
