Recovery
Every change that occurs, no matter how easy or
difficult it may seem, manifests because we made a
wish for things to be different. Sometimes it seems that
what we asked for and what we get can be very
different. We thought that we just asked for our lives
to be different and what we receive appears to be
complete devastation. Did we do something wrong? As
we go through the final phase of change, recovery, we
can create the wonderful change that we had desired if
we use the process of change to our advantage.
Asking for a change and actually having to deal with
change are two different things. We dream about how
our lives can be different while we're in the midst of
something that we feel is intolerable or we simply don't
like. Between that dream and the reality is change and
it can often be uncomfortable. It is like moving house-
we forget that moving involves finding a new place,
packing, and then unpacking and putting things away,
a process that can take weeks or months. Did we really
want to do that, we wonder, as we try to put our
home life back together? And we often find that our old
belongings that looked great in our old place often do
not 'fit' in our new place.
The process of recovery allows us to create our reality
in the way that we want it but only if we don't fall into
despair or depression or try to re-create what we were
trying to change. It may have been uncomfortable but
it is what we knew and were familiar with. We asked for
change and what happens next is meant to take us out
of the old situation and allow us to start over. Often,
when we try to recover from change and nothing
works, it's because we are trying to re-create what we
had before. We may have more success if we try
something different.
When we are in recovery we are standing at a point of
power, able to create what we do want. What we do
next will determine the outcome of the process. By
focusing our intention and remembering why we wanted
the change in the first place, we can work with the
energy of change to create something new. It no
longer serves us to re-create the old; that is the focus
of the Shift in Consciousness, to create new realities
for ourselves. If we try to re-create the old, we will
find ourselves in the same situation we were in before,
wishing for change. If you have gone through change
and are assessing the damage, focus your intention on
what you wanted to change and remember what you
wanted to change and why.

Standing Alone or Being Alone?
Most of us will do whatever we can to avoid being
alone. We will stay in relationships that no longer serve
us, stay in situations even though we are unhappy and
do whatever we can to ensure that we have someone
in our life. We value the things that show us that we
are not alone. Since the Shift has moved relationships
that no longer serve us out of our lives, we can find
that we spend large amounts of time alone. But there is
a difference between being alone and standing alone.
For many of us, the Shift has moved so much out of
our lives that we are alone and have been for a long
time. We have not had a romantic relationship in years,
our friends have drifted off and many of us have been
relocated to areas where we do not know anyone. All
of these things serve a purpose, to help us find our
Source connection so that we know that despite the
fact that we may be without others in our life, we are
never alone. We have to learn to stand alone, without
outside influences so that when we do reconnect with
others, we do so from a point of power and not one of
need.
It is so easy for us to give away our power in
relationships and we do that when we seek out others
so that we are not alone. It is a lesson that we all
must learn and the Universe has been helping us by
deliberately keeping others out of our life, or so it
seems. But there is a purpose to the process, and it is
to help us establish what we want in relationships and
to attract only those relationships that serve our
Highest Good.
The time for our being alone is coming to an end and
we will soon find ourselves in loving relationships and
with like-minded friends. When we can approach being
alone with grace, understanding that it is part of the
process of learning to stand alone, the Universe will
bless us with a wealth of relationships that will fulfill our
dreams of joy and unconditional love. And once we
have learned to stand alone and be powerful, we will
never have to be alone again.

Uriel's Message-Finding your Faith
You have faith that the sun will rise each morning and
create a new day, but do you have faith in your own
ability to manifest the life that you want? You may
have faith in an unseen Universal Source but do you
have faith in your ability to effortlessly connect to that
Source? You have faith in what you know is true, but is
that faith yours or does it belong to someone else?
Where does your faith start and where does it end? Is
your faith strong enough to allow you to see the power
and love available to you or do you lose faith when
faced with adversity? Finding your faith is an important
part of your spiritual journey, one that allows you to
take each step with confidence.
Religion teaches you to have faith in God and all will be
well in your life. That kind of faith takes your power
away from you and places it with another. And then
you hope that all will be well in your world, as long as
God is kind to you. Then you tread lightly on your
spiritual path, afraid to displease the source of your
faith so that you do not suffer. But your faith starts
with you, not with God. You must have faith in yourself
in order to connect with the Source. The Source does
not say to you 'give me your power and all will be
well.' Instead, the Source's message for you is 'believe
that you are of me and you will reconnect to your own
power and divinity'.
Finding your faith starts with what you believe. Do you
believe that you are powerful beyond measure, a divine
being in your own right, able to manifest the reality of
your dreams and create miracles in your life? When you
believe these things, without fear or doubt, you have
found the faith that you need to walk firmly on your
spiritual path, to know that you are always connected
to the Source and have no need to fear. Your faith
must be grounded in what you know and believe about
your own power in order for you to be successful in
living the life that you want to live.
Your faith is a key element of your spiritual journey and
it is only as strong as your faith in yourself. If you have
faith in your own power and divinity, then your faith is
unshakable because you know that you are always
connected to Source. If your faith is in anything
outside yourself, you will spend much time seeking
comfort and strength from those things that have little
to offer you. Finding your faith means remembering who
you are, a divine and powerful spiritual being who is
capable of manifesting peace in your own lives and all
over the world, when you have faith in your ability to
do so. To find your faith, remember who you are and
you will bring heaven on earth for yourself and for all of
humanity.

Today's Children--Disrespectful or Opinionated?
There is a new generation of children in the world and
they are known by many names, including Indigo and
Crystal Children, Star Children, Light Children. Whatever
name they are known by, they are a generation that
we have never seen before and they have special
needs, gifts and talents. The Crystal and Indigo
children represent the new, higher energetic patterns
that are arriving to change the Earth's vibrational
frequency.This new series provides information on
these children and the wonderful gifts they bring to the
world. Along with their special gifts and talents, they
also have certain needs and the purpose of this series
is to help them and their parents find solutions to these
needs so that Indigos and Crystals can do the work
that they came here to do.
When I was growing up, children did what they were
told and did not argue. It did not matter how much I
disagreed with my parents or how wrong I thought they
were, I was not allowed to disagree or argue with
them. And I disagreed with them all of the time and
was often punished for it. I learned, as did many of my
generation, that there was a price to be paid for
voicing my opinion and disagreeing with those in
authority. But I could not raise my children in the same
way because they were not afraid to disagree with me,
even if they were unsure of my reaction. Although I
encouraged them to be honest with me, it was
something that came naturally to them, as it does for
all Indigos. They have to say what they feel and stand
up for their beliefs, even if it means that they will be
punished.
So it is interesting when my children spend time with
their grandmother, my mother, because they do not
hesitate to tell her what they think, to disagree with
her or to voice their opinions. And it does not go over
well with her. She thinks that they are being
disrespectful because they do not accept everything
she says without question. They think that she is
controlling-and they tell her that, in a respectful way.
When she complains to me about them, I remind her
that today's children are different. They don't argue for
the sake of arguing, they argue because they can't
accept what someone says as the truth simply because
they are older. And they have little patience for those
who will not acknowledge the Indigos' right to have an
opinion that differs from theirs. Indigos are often
labeled as being disrespectful, but I think that they are
simply opinionated and in keeping with their Indigo
nature, will stand by their beliefs no matter who they
are talking to.
All of the ways we label children are changing with the
Indigo and Crystal children. In the past, children were
not allowed to have opinions or beliefs. But today's
children are different. They have opinions about many
things and are not afraid to voice them. They know
that things have to change and that they are part of
that change. Instead of labeling them as disrespectful
when they disagree with us, we need to listen to what
they are saying because they have a lot to say and are
not afraid to point out to us what is wrong with the
world. They also have suggestions about how to
implement change, so while they are able to point out
the problem, they are also willing to suggest solutions.
And their ideas are often original, brilliant and creative.
It is time for us to give these children the opportunity
to voice their beliefs and to implement their ideas. After
all, this is what they came here to do and they will do
it, with our without our help and approval. Rather than
arguing with them, constructive communication will go
a long way towards helping them start the work that
they came to do. For people like my mother, that is a
big step to take and perhaps one that is not possible.
But for us, their parents, it is not only possible, but
necessary.
