Second Chances
Each time I have given someone who has betrayed me
once a second chance they have responded by
betraying me again. For many years I struggled with
betrayal from various people in my life, always hoping
that the next time they would see the value in me and
in our relationship and behave towards me the way I
wanted them to. And each time they acted exactly as
they wanted to, and repeated their behavior. This
always made me very sad and I wondered what was
wrong with me. There was nothing wrong with me; I
had a lesson to learn about how I valued myself.
What I eventually learned was that experiences of
betrayal were my lesson to learn to value myself
enough that I did not need to seek validation from
others. And that the people who betrayed me once
would betray me again, for that was their part of the
lesson. The behavior of others was not a reflection of
my true value and worth. Their interaction with me had
nothing to do with me; they could not mirror to me
what I was not willing or able to see in myself. And the
fact that I had my self-worth invested in this
relationship was my problem, not theirs. It was not
their responsibility to prove my value and worth to me,
it was mine.
So while I was giving them a second chance to show
me how valuable I was, what I was getting from them
was simply a repetition of the experience whose
purpose was to force me to stop looking outside myself
for my self worth. It was a cycle that would continue
until I stepped into my power and found what I needed
in myself. And so it is for each of us. We have a
choice at each step in the betrayal process, to either
continue with the process and work hard to convince
others of how valuable we are or to seek our self worth
from inside, learn the lesson and move on.
If we continue to seek validation from others, we will
never find it for we cannot expect others to give us
what we cannot give to ourselves. If you are
experiencing betrayal, what is your lesson? How many
times are you willing to ask someone to validate you, to
tell you what a wonderful person you are? Can you find
that knowing within yourself? Once you do, you
acknowledge your value and your worth and attract
relationships and situations that reflect your value back
to you and experiencing betrayal will no longer be part
of your lessons.

Helping Others
I receive many emails from people every week, some
writing about how an article in the newsletter has
helped them, some asking me for guidance with a
particular issue, some just asking for help. I answer
every email I receive and am guided to help people in
different ways. Some need an explanation, some words
of encouragement, others need a book or information
on how to address their particular issue. I honor each
person's request for help because their willingness to
ask for help shows that they are ready to open the
door to understanding and find an answer.
I never, or rarely ever, offer assistance without being
asked. As an intuitive, I know many things about the
people I meet but I consider it to be a violation of their
personal space and their free will to offer advice unless
they ask me for it. My information is always truthful
and some people are not ready to hear the truth. What
I have learned over many years of providing intuitive
guidance is that it is not a good idea to offer someone
help until they are ready to ask for it, because when
they ask, they are ready to receive the information.
As Lightworkers, our gifts allow us to know when others
need help and we can be tempted to offer it before it is
requested. But needing help and being ready for help
are two different things. A person can need help to
simply get over a problem but they are perhaps not
ready to acknowledge their role in creating that reality.
So if they get through it without taking the time to
learn the lesson, they will repeat it all over again. As
empaths, we feel their pain, but our efforts to help may
not have the desired results if we help those who just
want a quick fix and not a lasting solution.
Have you ever told the truth to someone who was not
yet ready to hear it? Instead of being grateful for the
information, they become angry with you for telling
them something they do not want to or are not ready
to hear. Many people need our help at this time but we
must use our guidance to help those who are ready to
hear what they need to know to move forward on their
spiritual path. At this time many people are deciding to
change their lives and they will seek out the healers
who can help them. Just as many people find me and
this newsletter, many people will find each of you,
because you are the best person to help them. Our role
in this process, as Lightworkers, is to use our gifts, to
do what we are guided to do and the people who need
our help will find us. And they will be ready to hear the
truth and to use the information to make changes in
their reality.

Uriel's Message-What Do You Know?
What do you know about yourself, your value, your
possibility, your potential? Is what you know based on
your personal experience or on what someone else told
you? When others tell you what they know, they are
speaking from their truth. If you accept that, you are
accepting their truth as yours. And you will use that to
create your reality. But it will be out of balance
because you have accepted another's truth as the
truth for you. Then what you know, and the
information you will use to create the next step on your
path, is based on what someone else has told you.
Living through what you know is one of the lessons of
the Shift. Its challenge is to speak your truth, to
create your reality based on what you know is possible
for you. When you share your goals and thoughts with
others, you invite them to share their truth with you.
Sometimes that truth incorporates their fears and
hesitation and they may respond through their fear and
doubt. In this way, they share their fear with you.
Then their fears become yours and where you were
once unafraid and confident, you will become hesitant
and uncertain. Are they right, should you believe them,
are their concerns justified? Have you now made their
fears yours?
Whatever each of you knows, thinks and believes is
what is true for you. It cannot be believed or
experienced by anyone else. Others' fears are unique to
them and cannot be experienced by anyone else in the
same way. When you share your good with others,
they may not respond with appreciation and validation.
Instead, what you hear as concern may simply reflect
their fear based on their experience. That is what is
right and true for them; it is not necessarily right and
true for you.
This week, examine what you know to be true in your
life. Is it based on your own experience and beliefs, or
is it what you have heard from others? Can you
eliminate what others have told you and find your own
truth? Your Highest Good is expressed through what
you know, the information that comes from that part of
you that acknowledges your divinity, your Source
connection, your power and your truth. If what you
know has its basis in fear, it is not from your Higher
Self and does not reflect your power and potential.
What you know, whatever you accept as the truth in
every part of your life is the foundation for every
aspect of your reality. You are a limitless being,
capable of living a miraculous life. Let that be your
truth, what you know, and you will create a reality that
reflects heaven on earth, that is your birthright.

Today's Children--Indigo Boys and Men
My Indigo son can be the most wonderful, thoughtful,
kind and considerate person in the world. Five minutes
later he is the most exasperating, difficult, thoughtless
person I have ever met. Sometimes I wonder if I am
dealing with the same person I was speaking to five
minutes before. Wonderful one minute, frustrating
beyond belief the next. This is the Indigo boy/male
energy. Their moods change from day to day or minute
to minute and they can be happy and positive one
minute, angry and negative the next. While we have
problems dealing with their energy, so do they. My son
describes it as being on a roller coaster and when he
was in school and on Ritalin, briefly, the problem was
much worse. But what is it about the Indigo boy/male
energy that makes them so wonderful and difficult at
the same time?
Indigo males have no role modes for the energy they
carry. They are the first male generation to have a
strong spiritual connection and to be empathic and
intuitive. And that goes against everything they know
about being male in today's society. They can't be
highly spiritual and feeling, because that belongs to the
feminine role. And they can't be extremely masculine
because they simply can't play the 'tough guy' role. So
they go from one extreme to the next, trying to find a
balance that works for them. As they experiment with
these different energies, their behavior goes from one
extreme to the next and it can seem as though we are
dealing with two different people, the intuitive, feeling
person and the difficult, frustrating person.
It is a very confusing time for Indigo males as their
confusion affects everything from how they perform in
school, the types of careers or jobs they choose, the
friends they seek and even the relationships they get
involved in. Most of their romantic experiences reflect
their confusion as they choose the wrong person and
then wonder why the relationships never work. I know
many Indigo males who have great friends but very few
successful romantic relationships. They don't know
themselves and try to find that by partnering with
someone, usually with painful consequences. Their male
role modes did not worry about these things-they
found a career, went to work every day, married and
let their wives handle the rest. That isn't happening for
Indigo males and they can often feel like they are not
doing what they are 'supposed' to be doing. But they
can't do those things because they simply don't feel
right, things are not falling into place, the opportunities
do not present themselves and many can't find or keep
a girlfriend, much less find someone to marry.
So what is the solution? First we have to realize that
their disagreeable behavior often stems from
frustration, and they tend to react out of frustration
with themselves and their inability to be like others. No,
we don't have to tolerate their bad behavior, but we
can approach them from understanding instead of
wondering when they will ever get their act together.
They will, eventually, find balance in their lives, but it
does take a while. Praising their successes,
downplaying their mistakes and being positive about
their possibilities and potential does help. They have to
figure out how they will express their gifts and many
are doing that in unusual ways, even becoming healers
and teachers at a young age. We must remind them, as
we have learned, that it is OK to be who they are, no
matter what that is, and they will find the confidence
to do that. Then they can express the best side of
their personalities and be the wonderful people we
know and love and create balance in their lives.
