This week's messages
Getting Even or Finding Peace
When someone betrays us our first reaction, after
getting over the shock, can be to find ways to get
revenge. We want to give them a taste of their own
medicine, to teach them what it feels like to be hurt, to
be in pain. We can spend endless hours thinking of
ways that will make the other person go through what
we have experienced. When we do this we are making
a lot of assumptions about them and in the end, trying
to make ourselves feel better. The decision we need to
make is whether we want to get even or are willing to
find peace.
The assumptions we make are that the other person
will be able to experience our emotions, that they have
the same emotional investment in the relationship that
we did and that they care. All of our actions have a
singular goal, to vindicate us and to make us feel
better. We believe that if we can make the other
person feel our pain, then the experience will have
been worth it. But chances are, despite our efforts,
nothing will change and they will do as they always
have done and will just think that we are being difficult.
Our better option is to find peace.
It is tempting to get even with someone who has hurt
us, but then we gain nothing from the experience, we
do not learn the lesson of betrayal, which is to help us
find our power, and we stay in the betrayal experience.
When we choose to find peace, we open the door to
understanding why we had to experience betrayal and
make it possible to avoid similar situations in the future.
The choice, getting even or finding peace, is always
available to us.
But finding peace is more than merely an option, it is
the acknowledgement of our responsibility for creating
our reality. Betrayal did not just happen to us. We
chose that experience and all of the people with whom
we experienced it, whether we were the betrayer or
the one who was betrayed. It can become a tool for
powerful living or it can become just another victim
experience in our lives. When we choose to be powerful
we enable ourselves to move into a different level of
living. Getting even is something that humanity has
done for eons and as we move into the Shift, that kind
of behavior is no longer an option. Finding peace is a
more viable option, with implications that extend from
our own reality to all of humanity. This is the work that
we have come to do and it is up to us to set the
example for finding peace.

What is Your Life Lesson?
Most of us have one or two main life lessons to learn,
usually focused on an aspect of our being. Some
lessons have to do with money and abundance, some
have to do with love and relationships, others have to
do with illness, and others have to do with life purpose,
usually reflected in job and career issues. As we move
into and out of situations that help us learn our lessons
throughout most of our lives, we can get stuck in a
situation that seems to have no solution and suddenly
everything is falling apart. No, we didn't just get more
lessons, we have an opportunity to learn what our life
lesson is and use it to heal every life situation.
As I tell clients during an Archangel Uriel reading, their
life lessons appear in all areas of their life. Some
lessons are more apparent than others but eventually,
there is an opportunity to see where everything ties
together. These experiences generally happen when
everything seems to go wrong. But if we don't get
stuck in the fear we can see that there is a common
thread that connects all of our experiences. Once we
can see the connections, we can understand the focus
of our life lesson.
While life lessons manifest in different ways for each of
us, all of our lessons focus on where we are afraid and
are disconnected from the Source. While they may
manifest as very complicated situations, they are
generally very simple and have to do with fear. Any
time we are in fear, we have forgotten our Source
connection and the lessons appear to help us
reconnect. Unfortunately the lessons often make the
situation worse instead of better and instead of finding
our power, we just become more fearful. Losing our
Source connection allows us to forget that we are
divine, all-powerful, spiritual beings who can manifest
anything we want in our lives.
Understanding our life lesson gives us such clarity that
when a lesson comes up we can view it with
detachment, asking 'what do I need to learn from this'
instead of 'what do I do now?' Then we can work with
our inner guidance and take powerful steps to move
through it. And we achieve mastery over our reality,
we reconnect with the Source and remember who we
are. This week, look at what you are experiencing in
your life with the intention of finding the common
thread so that you can understand the focus of your
life lessons. Do they have to do with money, love,
career, or abundance? Can you find where the fear
exists? What is the next powerful step you can take?
Understanding the common thread moves you into a
space where you can recognize what you need to learn
from each situation in your life. Then you can create
powerful and lasting solutions that bring you into the
space of peace, joy, unconditional love and abundance
that is your birthright as the divine, spiritual being that
you are.

Uriel's Message-Wounds of the Heart
You were each born with wounds of the heart, places
that need healing and that you attempted to heal in
each successive lifetime. Many of these wounds you
have carried for many lifetimes, seeking experiences
and people who would bring to you the best possible
situations in which to heal these issues. But the wound
became the focus of the experience and you have
forgotten that the only reason you are here is to heal
these wounds of the heart. This exists for each of you
as well as for all of humanity.
Healing can only occur when you see learn to associate
the wound with the experience that you have created
to heal it. Whether it is an experience of abandonment,
emotional suffering, or lack, the objective of the
experience is to provide you with the information you
need to heal the wound so that you can move forward
on your spiritual path. As long as the wounds of the
heart remain, you are unable to move past these
lessons. You achieve the healing when you learn to
forgive yourself and others and this is what will heal
the wounds.
True spiritual enlightenment will occur for humanity
when each one of you can look past the places where
others hurt you and focus instead on seeing each of
these situations as an opportunity to heal your
personal wounds and extend that healing to the world.
The problems of the world do not exist outside of each
of you; they are as much a part of you as are your
own painful experiences. In order to achieve mastery
over the emotion you must be willing to apply your
spiritual learning to all aspects of the material world.
The Shift is an opportunity to bring heaven on earth, to
create a peaceful and loving world for everyone. This is
a possibility for the world when each of you is able to
find the source of healing in your experiences instead
of creating more and larger wounds. You must be willing
to see the divinity in yourself and in others, to see the
divinity in your experiences and recognize that healing
is available to you at all times. You must be willing to
acknowledge your wounds of the heart, accept the
healing that is offered to you and then apply the
healing so that you can move forward, individually and
collectively, and realize the blessings of the Shift. The
possibilities for peace, joy and unconditional love are
unlimited and available to all, once you are willing to
forgive yourselves and each other and heal your
wounds of the heart.

Today's Children--New Careers for Indigos
I recently watched a documentary on skiing and
snowboarding and watched young people who have
created careers as champion snowboarders and skiers.
Ten or more years ago that would have been unheard
of and few parents would have encouraged their
children to follow a career in snowboarding, skate
boarding, rollerblading, surfing or other non-mainstream
sports. Parents who push their Indigo children into more
traditional careers are often disappointed when their
Indigo children drop out, tune out or just quit. The
Indigo energy is very non-traditional but finding ways
to express in a way that is financially viable can take
some creative thinking.
Yet many Indigos are able do that today and they
have a world-wide audience that celebrates their
unique energy and talents. They have become
ambassadors, traveling the world and sharing their gifts
with others. And they connect with other Indigos in a
way that transcends geographic, cultural and national
boundaries. They are just young people having fun
doing something they are passionate about. This is the
Indigo energy at its best and I wish that all Indigos,
everywhere, both adults and children, could experience
it.
The depression and disillusionment that Indigos often
feel can prevent them from seeking other, creative
avenues to expressing their gifts and talents. They
believe that if they cannot fit into the traditional world,
then something must be wrong with them. Each
experience that they perceive as a failure is simply one
more confirmation of their inability to be 'normal', to be
like other people. But they just have to take the next
step, away from what they believe is possible, towards
what they would really like to do.
Many Indigo adults and young people will find career
success and happiness in areas that we, as their
parents, would never have considered. Who would
think, for example, to encourage their child to become
a skateboard champion? Or, to encourage an Indigo
adult to leave a career in the traditional business world
to become a life coach, a teacher or a carpenter? This
is what Indigos need to do and the sense of
accomplishment and satisfaction that they seek is
within their reach, as long as they can look past what
they 'think' others will approve of or what will make
money to what makes them happy. So many
opportunities exist today that it is possible to make a
career out of almost anything. And for Indigos,
recognizing their passion and believing that they can
do it will bring great rewards.
