Ascending through Action
Ascension is the process through which we
acknowledge our spiritual evolution. It is not a day, a
moment or even a single event in our lives. Rather, it is
our acceptance of our divinity and spiritual center that
allows us to live in ascension every day. While what we
believe, think and say are important in creating a
powerful reality through which we make ascension
possible, it is what we do, through our actions, that
allow us to walk the ascension path.
A few years ago I was guided to begin writing this
newsletter. It was a difficult decision for me because I
knew that my family would not be approving (and they
still are not), I wasn't sure what I would write about
and once I started, knew that it would be an ongoing
commitment. But I also knew that it was part of the
next step on my spiritual journey and part of my own
ascension path. So I began and am still writing it
weekly, 3 years later. I am always guided as to what to
write and the feedback and gratitude that I receive
from readers every week are confirmation that this is
the right thing for me to do.
Our challenge in ascending through action is knowing
that whatever we are asked to do is part of our
spiritual path, that we are capable of doing it and that
we will receive whatever assistance we need to make it
happen. We must know that when we are guided to act
it is because it is time, whether or not we think we are
ready. This is part of our ascension path and all we
have to do is say 'yes'.
It is through our actions that we acknowledge our
spiritual growth. As one of my mentors used to tell me,
if you can teach someone else you know that you have
learned the lesson. Before we can teach others we
must accept the commitment to our own journey
by 'acting out' what we know. We can believe, think
and know all kinds of spiritual truths. We walk the
ascension path by showing ourselves, and the world,
that we live by what we know to be true. Everything
that we do is a reflection of our ascension path, our
connection to Source and our acknowledgement of
what is our Truth. When we put our Truth into action
in our lives, in what we do, in how we interact with
others and in what we believe about our selves, we
show ourselves where we are on the ascension path.

Dealing with Bullies
Some of us have had experiences with bullies as
children, the kids who pushed others around, stole
lunch money and were generally mean to everyone. But
as adults we can have bullies in our lives, people who
use intimidation, threats and fear to force us to do
what they want. There are people who bully us on
emotional and even physical levels. But there are also
people who bully us on spiritual levels, by making us
wrong and challenging our beliefs. They do this by
connecting to us through our fear.
Bullies use different types of tactics to get involved
with us. They will generally connect with us at a level
where they know we are weak. They have a way of
picking up on our fears and then using them to their
advantage. The reason they can do that is they are
also afraid and they connect with us through our own
fear. Then they use our fear to convince us that we
are wrong, they are right and we should listen to them.
In this way, they can make us accept their reality and
give them our power. At the time their logic may be
convincing. It is only after we reconnect with our
strength and power that we see them for what they
are.
We experience interactions with bullies when we are
unsure of our own path, of our spiritual knowledge and
are fearful about our spiritual journey. It is easy to turn
our power over to someone who seems to know more,
to have better insights or to be more connected than
we are. And we know that they are because they
prove to us that they are right and we are not. But we
see that illusion because we are looking for someone to
show us that we are right, we are on the right path
and we are doing the right thing. To avoid experiences
with bullies, we must step out of the fear that we have
concerning our abilities and trust that we know our own
path better than anyone.
We were never promised a life free from challenges-
those situations will always be available to us should
we decide to choose them. We are, however, promised
guidance and discernment, as long as we live through
our power, not through our fear. When we are able to
know that every step on our path is right for us, we
can avoid lessons that involve giving our power to
others because we believe that they can show us the
way better than we can do this for ourselves. Bullies
can only connect with us through our fear so if we
have no fear we will not attract them. If there is
a 'spiritual bully' in your life, look at where they may be
connecting with you. Remember that they are there to
teach you a lesson about your own power. Look within
for the guidance you need. No one can direct your path
but you and no one is more capable or powerful
regarding your own reality than you are.

Uriel's Message-Have Confidence in Your Self
If you could see yourself as the Universe sees you, you
would never doubt your abilities, connection or power.
You would be constantly aware of the limitless
resources that are available to help you and the beauty
and perfection of your life experience. You would be
aware that every question is answered and every need
is met instantaneously. Each step on your path would
be taken with confidence because you would be aware
that you already know everything that you need to
know to resolve your karma and heal on every level. All
of these things are available to you when you have
confidence in your Self.
You did not come to the earth plane unprepared for the
lessons you are experiencing, no matter how difficult
they are. Everything that you forgot about your divinity
and Source connection can be recalled when you
remember who you are and why you are here.
Regardless of what you are experiencing, this is but a
moment in your soul's journey. Every situation is a call
to remember, reconnect, re-create and rebirth yourself
into wholeness. Take heart in remembering that you are
a child of God who is loved beyond anything you can
imagine.
What you perceive as mistakes are born out of a lack
of confidence in yourself and a lack of trust in your
abilities. You judge yourself far more harshly than the
Universe, which never judges you. Whatever you do
not do, whatever actions you are afraid to take,
whatever lessons you do not learn will be lovingly
repeated so that you can once again learn to
experience your own power. The more difficult the
lesson, the more important it is to your spiritual journey.
When you have confidence in yourself you will see
lessons as an opportunity for you to express your
power, to make choices that serve your Highest Good
and that reconnect you to your own divinity. Your fear
is the only thing that can separate you from the
Source and from the many blessings that are yours by
divine right. The path may appear difficult but you do
have resources to help you and they will guide you
through the most difficult challenges and help you
create miracles when you can confidently call upon
them, knowing that your destiny is not to suffer but to
have the peace, joy, abundance and unconditional love
that your soul longs for. Create those things in your life
by having confidence in your Self, your divinity, your
power and the unconditional love, blessings and
support of the Universe.

Today's Children--College or Not?
Many young Indigos are facing the decision of whether
or not to go to college or university. In the U.S., this is
a big decision because the costs are prohibitive. Many
Indigos who are now in college or university are
dropping out, not doing well or are simply not happy.
For them the experience is not what it was for their
parents and they find that they do well in the classes
that they enjoy and very poorly in the ones they don't.
They can't give a 'reasonable' explanation for their
unhappiness, other than they are not enjoying the
experience which, unless you understand Indigo
energy, does not explain very much. If they don't make
good grades, they feel that they must not be very
smart, which is the assumption they derive from the
grading system. While they are eager to please their
parents and to get an education, they also need to find
a balanced solution that meets their needs while giving
them a foundation for their life.
My Indigo son was in and out of college three times
before he finally found something he liked to do. He
found his true calling at a trade school and earned a
degree in video game design. It's not what I would
have chosen or even considered for him but he loves
what he does. Despite his dyslexia and ADD, he was
able to not only succeed but even excel in the
program. He became one of the school's programming
experts, was often consulted by his teachers and
asked to teach classes. I was, to say the least,
surprised at how much he achieved. But he didn't do it
in a university and had he followed that path, would
never have graduated.
As much as we are told that everyone needs a four
year college degree and even a master's degree to
succeed, this will not always work for Indigos. They
need to follow a program that fits their skills and
passion, something that they can get excited about
and focus on because it interests them. They also need
something that they can excel at, whatever that is.
While a career as a hair dresser, car mechanic, painter,
video game designer or even skateboard pro may not
be what you had envisioned for your child, know that if
they pursue a path that they are passionate about,
they will be the best in the industry at whatever they
choose to do.
Indigos may seem unmotivated and uninspired until
they find something they are inspired by. Then there is
no stopping them. Finding that passion, though, may
take some time and they may try a few things that
they do not succeed at before they finally come across
something that they really enjoy. They may even be
afraid to tell us what interests them because they are
afraid that we will not react well, will not support them
and will be disappointed in their choices. Some of their
choices may be 'non-traditional' or even odd, but until
they are able to do what they want to do, they will fail
at a lot of other things. If your Indigo child is not doing
well at university, perhaps they need to make another
choice. Opening that conversation may help them know
that you will support their choices and will allow them
to follow whatever path their heart is calling them to.
Know that once they find it, they will be happy and
successful and isn't that what we all want for our
children?
